Complete 3-megawatt Independent Power Project To Supply Power To Public Institutions Including The State Secretariat, Ado Metropolis Street Lights, Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ekiti State University, And Government House

In 2021, Fayemi signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fen-Church Power Nigeria Limited to build three megawatt substations under a Public-Private Partnership arrangement. The project was expected to be delivered by August 2021. The arrangement was structured so that the firm would build the power plants and generate electricity that would be sold to the state for consumption.

However, this MoU did not translate to project completion before Fayemi left office in October 2022. The targeted institutions – State Secretariat, Ado metropolis street lights, Ekiti State Teaching Hospital, Ekiti State University, and Government House – remained dependent on the national grid and generators throughout the remainder of his tenure.
