Iyin (Odo Uro)- Aroto Road Under Rural Access To Agriculture And Markets (Programme (RAAMP) Is Commencing In January 2021

On January 15, 2021, Governor Fayemi flagged off the construction of 1,000km of rural roads across Ekiti State, with the Iyin-Aroto Road listed as one of the six pilot roads under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), co-financed by the World Bank and the French Agency for Development (AFD). The flag-off occurred before the end of January 2021, exactly as promised. The governor, represented by Deputy Governor Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, stated that the roads would stimulate grassroots economy, provide market access for farm produce, and prevent post-harvest losses. Contractors were instructed to engage local artisans and workmen to benefit the communities. 

While update from the RAAMP roads show they are far from being completed by the time Fayemi left office, the promise specifically required only the commencement of rehabilitation and reconstruction before the end of January 2021, not completion.
